Poor 3G TL? burned in on highway :(

LA Freeway Looks Post-Apocalyptic After Drones Delay Firefighters

I saw this picture this morning and noticed the shape of the car. Hopefully everyone got out ok. My friends turned around back to Vegas to spend an extra night.

Nobody has died though which is good, but what the hell are those drones doing there?? That's stupid as heck.

Someone please explain what the hell these drones are?

The article gives no explanation or reasoning for the drones or whose controlling it.

The article even stated that it was the 2nd or 3rd time drones interfered with fire fighters.

Best guess is its just some aholes with money who bought drones and feel entitled to fly them around emergency areas thinking there is no way they are interfering with other people.

Long story short, people are idiots and dont have the ability to extend their sense of awareness more than a few inches from their point of view.

Wont be long before drones are literally illegal to fly due to these degenerates.

It's likely that people are filming the wildfire with drones because they wanted to capture the moment.

In other words... people are stupid and tend to do stupid things.

I hope they find the operators of the drones and they see jail time and huge fines for costing the state thousands upon thousands of dollars.

Imagine having to leave your car on the freeway to burn because some assholes thought it would be cool to have footage of a fire. It's a fire you idiots. Go start one in a fire place if you want to marvel at it. Bunch of degenerates easily amused with no sense of awareness.

Imagine your $30,000+ TL just sitting there as you watched it burn because firefighters couldnt drop water on it because your neighbor was flying around his stupid $300 RC helicopter.

I wonder if there are rewards for anyone that reports the people flying the drones around.

There was a fire on the 5 freeway the other weekend. I thought this was the same fire at first. San Bern is very close but obviously not the same fire. Scary to realize just how easily that could be you and you car in that situation. Makes me hate people.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's actually a TSX.

I saw that picture when it was first posted. People originally thought it was a 2004-2008 TSX, and I'm 100% sure it's not, because of the fender. The fender reaches over the whole headlight like the TL, not halfway like the TSX.
Then, someone mentioned 06-11 civic sedan. I was then convinced it was that instead, because the side mirrors are on the door, no sidemarker, and the headlight reflectors(TL has projectors)

Soooo how does a drone flying around prevent fire fighters from putting a fire out on the ground? I don't see the connection...

According to officials the moment they saw the drones flying around they were forced to ground all emergency air vehicles which was the main way to get water to the scene. As is for most fires here in California with our busy streets/freeways. Take away our ability to drop water from the air and we'd just burn to the ground.

Recent developments show all these cars were towed away and tow companies are charging anywhere from 200 to 600 in towing fees for cars the CHP made people abandon before fire crews could step in. Apparently CHP told people their cars would be towed to a dirt lot where they could be picked up for free. Lies lies and propaganda. I love the way people do their jobs now a days. "Just make up and excuse and let the next guy deal with it."

You're right. Now that I actually look at the side mirrors area, it looks exactly like the Civic's door.

I was going to post the same thing. I don't think it's a TL. The distinctive line running along the side doesn't seem to be there.

Wow, such a tragedy. Glad no one got seriously hurt. Not sure if anyone else noticed but I don't think it's a tsx either. If look closely, there is no sunroof opening. All tsx's have sunroofs. Also if you look at the headlight housing, there is no projector for the low beam. It looks more as a regular halogen bulb type. Though I can be wrong.

@paperboy, sorry I didn't see ur post bro. But you are right.

That's the American way today! And just one example of how we've gone downhill as a society.

The poor tow companies just needed more money for custom paint jobs on their rigs.

It also appears to not have a sunroof on it so I would say its a Civic LX model.
