I've been looking at my taillights and wondering what I should do with them.

My choices are either keeping them in stock form, tinting them black, tinting them WDP, or going with Type-S taillights. Let me know what you guys think.

If you are asking my opinion....I would go with Type S tails. Thats just my opinion though...you gotta live with em!

Sorry...dont mean to be harsh or a dick...but too many of these types of threads out there where IMO...the owner needs to just make a decision and cant for whatever reason.

Let me ask you this? What made you buy an Acura TL? Others opinions or your own? If it was your own...this thread is failing in that regard.

After re-reading that post I thought to myself...dayum....I sounded WAY harsh there....when in actually if he had heard my tone in my head...it was more along the lines of a buddy ribbing you over something. Completely understand. I just wanted to get opinions of others. Doesn't neccessarily mean I'm going to go with the decision that's made in this poll. I was actually leaning more towards the WDP tint personally, pretty much the same concept when others with the NBP black out there lights, more of a stealth look to them.

 

i HATE the 07+ base lights (pink lights FTL), so any change would be an improvement

Yeah I guess, I'll just mess around. I'll buy a pair of Type-S tails, tint my stock pair black and see how they look, if I don't like that I'll give the WDP a try. I'll have to decide on which ones, than I'll match the headlights with the tails also. Thanks for everyones opinions.

 

All of those choices will look good. Whatever you do though just make sure you match your rear sidemarkers to your tails. So if you blackout the tails, then blackout the rear sidemarkers. If you get the Type S tails get the Type S sidemarkers, if you leave them the way they are then do nothing lol

 

Don't change those lights!! I think the WDP with the base '07-'08 lights looks awesome! Maybe if you chopped the base one open and stuck in the clear blinker, that would look hot too, kinda like a cross between the CDM and the base lights.

I voted for stock, those lights look good on WDP.

I have no idea what WDP tint is, are you just going to paint some tint WDP and put it over the light? Or are you going to do the ghost tail mod and white out the taillights.

 

open the taillights up and customize a led brake pattern. Just my opinion

 

They actually have a white transparent paint you can use. I did this with my last car, color matched red tint, with black tinted circles.

Didn't someone clear their tail lights by mixing the lenses from the 06 with the housing from the 04?
Maybe give that a shot? I just cant stand the clear/white Part of the stock light.

One thing to keep in mind, is the red side markers do flow with the red tail lights.

I would keep it stock, and go with the clean look.

The 07-08 base tails look great on silver and white, as is.

Our taillights can be opened? That looks really good. Might kind of look out of place on a WDP though.

 

NOPE... they will look great. when they are off they look white & gunmetal. PURE SEX!

I have a SSM so it looks good too, but it would look even better on a WDP

do the wdp tint n switch it up for once, so many ppl have blacked or type s tails,make ur car unique u see so many TLs on the road make em look twice
