Police license plate???
My friend's friend said he has 10 of those license plate covers that you can only get if you donate a lot of money to the police department (I think to the LAPD). I forgot what it was called exactly (does anyone know?).
My question is this...he's selling it for $200 each. Do you guys think it's worth getting? In order to get one of these you're suppose to have donated thousands of dollars to the police. They are legit and the police can't do a background check to see if you actually donated money.
My car has illegal tints and illegal tinted tail lights, so I'm thinking if I have one of these the cops might not give me a ticket but just a warning.

You're talking about these.
Plates are useless unless you have the special card that has your name on it and the special badge, this is so that you can show the officer when you get pulled over and most of the time the cop will let you off.

I think it's similar to the plate above, which is for the CHP.
The LAPD is I think "KMA-###", I forgot the numbers but I think it was the code for an office in distress.
Is that what you're talking about??

It depends on the cop. Just because your a donor doesn't mean they have let you off for speeding or whatever.

This is just like those people that put the stickers on their car that says they are an honorary sheriff or contributed to the FOP and expect to get out of a ticket.
Since you have seen the light and aren't going to lose your money on a scheme, and since this probably should have been posted in Ramblings anyway, and since you are talking about an illegal method of preventing a ticket because of your illegal mods (I'm j/k on this part about your illegal mods so don't take it too seriously), I am closing the thread.
