Plood Interior Owners
Sorry for the , but i put the orginal one in the wrong section.
Those of you that own a TL with either a Parchment or Camel interior, the wood shift knob make a big difference in the look of the car. I got mine yesterday and have received many compliments. A pretty affordable accesory that goes a long way if you ask me. If wood if not your thing, than you will want to pass; however, I think it looks classy and timeless. Keep in mind I am in my 30's, when I was in my 20's you couldn't get me to put wood in any care I owned. Also, the door edge trim and All Weather Flor Mats look great.

Here is a pic of my new accessories: Wood Shifter, Door Trim, and AW Floor Mats.
Please no comments on the "Puffers", I know how some of you already think about them!

I have a plood interior and I plan to stay stock. The wood shifter brings out the plood, and I prefer to emphasize the black rather than the plood. Personal choice of course - looks very classy. I like it more "modern" with the regular handle.

Did you purchase the wood shifter from the Acura dealership? If so how much was it and is it easy to install? Do I have to just twist the original black shifter like a screw? It looks nice and I have the same car as yours with black floor mats

I got it as part of my negotiations, but you can get it cheaper at http://www.handa-accessories.com/tl.html or other places online. I thought it funny that they inlcuded install instruction http://www.handa-accessories.com/tl/08U92.pdf when all you have to do is twist the old off and new on.

Shift Knobs - for 6MT
I think I rather have something like this...
MOMO F16 EVO Wood
or because the car is so high-tek, a knob like this...
Varad RB100 - Carbon Fiber - 4 control buttons (around $53-$60)
http://images.cardomain.com/products/var/VARRB103_1.jpg
so I can control other devices in the car.

Nice car (puff puff) and I'm a plood guy too and after years of a rosewood shift knob in my RL, I tried and removed the walnut shift knob in the TL.
While it is nice and handsome in and of itself, it puts too much emphasis on the plood and away from the black/aluminum. Part of my pushback is the fact that the emergency brake on this vehicle is console-mounted and it has a black pleather wrap like the stock shift knob. As such, I think both hand-surfaces should be of the same material. Looks a bit strange to have the shift knob wood and the emergency brake pleather.
Either way, enjoy the ride! But not as much as if you hadn't put those puffers on it (sorry, couldn't resist)

I have the Acura wood knob. I think it looks great and really makes the interior more luxurious. Apparently it can be a huge pain in the ass to install, but I don't know, my salesman did it for me.
The all-weather mats I don't understand, however. You're trying to make the car look classier with the wood knob and then you add black rubber mats? Kind of a wash at that point, if you ask me.

Why not get black carpet mats? No matter which interior you have, they will look good and hide dirt without the nasty rubber effect. I have Camel interior, but at some point when my rugs start to wear out, I'm going to replace them with a set of the black ones.
