by putting it to drive, doesnt the car shift to 2nd? wont it better leave it in SS mode in 1st so you get the most TQR and HP out of the gear

Why would it shift in 2 it doesnt even rev past 2,000 rpm well i dont think it shifts to 2. But the car still drives a lil even with e-brake on is that becuase the engine has a lot of hp and trq it overpowers the brakes. I hope thats the case. Because i see a pontiac g6 216hp and 175twq doing burnouts easly.

that vid sounded like he dumped a clutch. If your doing it in an auto brake torque it and hope the RPMs jump quick enough to break the tires loose

Ya i got auto. And can u help me understand more about break torque. Does that mean just put it in drive and hold brake and gas at same time. Becuase i did that before the car just leans forward. I heard u cant do that in fwd car. How do u guys do burnouts in 04-08 stock auto tl's?

Please provide your car's VIN number, so we can warn our friends, to not buy your car when you're done abusing it.

You might want to try getting an answer in the Racing and Competition subforum https://acurazine.com/forums/forumdi...sprune=60&f=24, where there is a greater tolerance for pursuits that should not be done on public roads.
There is a sticky for drag racing hints there, but there's no purpose to doing a burnout unless you are on slicks at the drag strip.

Welcome to AZ.

Foot Brake + Gas Pedal to the Floor = Smoking Front AND Rear Brakes

Watch the video again if you notice the same. Foot Brake > Emergency Brakes in terms of stopping power imho

P.S. I used to do burnouts when gas was a lot cheaper and before I knew the cost of replacing wheel bearings, brake pads and tires were.

burn out + FWD + auto doesn't work to well

if you want a little trick here ya goi

but if you really want to do it here is what you do to make it work real easy

1.. wet the ground where you are planning to do this (2' deep and as wide as your car)
2. roll though it until your tires are almost out the other side of it
3. pull parking break up as high as you can
4. Floor it....you do not use the foot break at all with a FWD car

BTW i'm not responsible to anything that you may break on your car like trans/ axles/CV joints..etc and don't forget tire wear. and one more thing any tickets you may acquire during this is also on you. So i suggest DO NOT do as I say

dear OP
vsa off... in ss mode... left foot on the brake... ebrake up.... hit the gas, you will see the revs go up but stop at a certain point, that is the torque converter stall... its like 3000 rpms something... once you know the stall speed... take ur left foot off the brake at the spall speed

you will peel out like I did in the vid I posted above WHICH WAS IGNORED.... except i don't like redlining so I shifted everytime I got close to teh redline

No offence still, but that does not look like the burn out in the original video. Bottom line GTX, you won't get a burnout like that in an auto. You need a 6mt or more power(torque); period!

Side note: I did this to my car a couple of times. This scares this sh*t out of me! Don't want to break anything! I would take up a another hobby that is less expensive, if I were you.

You really are persistant on this dumb question. You started a thread just this week and the end result was it was locked because people were beating you up. Looks like you didn't learn your lesson. Let the beatings begin. I would love to see how many flat spots you have on your tires now. I am sure it rides like a car with square tires. How old are you again? 20-25? 12?

burn outs on a FWD, this is embarrassing. I get red faced when it's raining and I over do it with the rpms and my front spins..I feel like a dork.

Get a RWD for burn outs...and please do post your TL's vin#.

Thank you.

Its okay im not selling my tl to any one on this site so u dont need the vn#. And i did a small burnout. I pull e-brake up, then pushed the reg brake, then pushed the gas, rpms went up and i let go of the reg brake and just pushed the gas and had the e-brake up. And the car burned out for like 3 secs, didnt want to do it longer though i could have. NOW I LOVE MY TL EVEN MORE

Put it in neutral. Floor it to redline and shift it into drive!
