please help! don't know what to do..

well guys as some of you may know i crashed my car back in november and ended up fixint it in january costing roughly 9 thousand.. the check engine light was still on so i took it to the acura dealership to get it checked...they found out something was wrong with the fuel injectors and ended up replacing it..i never told Acura about the accident because i know the warranty wouldn't apply anymore.. anyways a few days after getting it back it became even worst and started shaking and acting weird so i brought it back to Acura..
here's where it gets depressing.. Acura found out about the accident and is now saying my car needs "motor work" that will run about 3 thousand.. my dad doesn't want to pay all that money and was considering taking the car back to the Acura dealership that we purchased my car at and getting something else..
now my question is how does this work?? could i trade in my TL and get a new one and if so how much money would be have to be put in to make this happen..
also, what about if i trade in my current TL for a TSX or something

by the way it's a leased vehicle if that helps..
thanks in advance

The problem I see is that the dealer probably wont want to take that car back. Because there is no way they could ever get it CERTIFIED for resale. Also since its a lease I hope you used geniune acura parts as per the contract that was signed. One of my friends had a nightmare with that. Long story short he crashes his TL. He fixes it at a very very good body shop it was fixed so good you couldnt tell and ran perfect. He goes to give the car back at the end of his lease and they knew right away it was hit when they put it on the lift and demanded the recipts from the body shop, that they used the geniune acura parts. Since the body shop didnt use the right parts he was screwed. He wound up making a settlement with them for a certain amount of money

why dont you call your insurance company and explain that the car was not totally fixed mechanically after it was delivered from the body shop since the problems you have now are from the accident they may readjust the payout to fix your problems. It doesnt hurt to ask good luck

This is the exact reason why I would NEVER lease a car..... too many possible problems....
