I come home from vacation and a little box is waiting for me from Acura.





It's from Wood Dale, IL. I got my 2008 Acura TL new in October 2008 (so it's been about 7 months).



I was just starting to miss my car too after spending a week in Taiwan.

Of note, there are no Acuras in Taiwan, let alone the TL (there used to be older models). Also, I noticed that almost every car was tinted. Even Sentras and Camrys were tinted to not just 30% but to 5% or even mirror tint.

 

I bought my TL in September and got those same mugs at the end of April. I thought maybe it was for my birthday which is May 1st, but maybe it's just a 7 months of ownership gift. Whatever it is, I think it's cool. They're nice tumblers.

 

My birthday was actually last week... hmmm...

 

That's sweet. I want some mugs..

 

Lucky bas**#$ ... LOL .... I want some of those too ... then again, the way i was bargaining with my local dealers, they were crying foul all the way to Acura HQ, let alone getting me something for free ...

 

I got my brand new Type-S for almost the same price as the sticker on a non-Navi base model. I figured any package from Acura would have been an addendum bill. The cups were a nice surprise.

 

Bought a new '08 TL in October, and just last week received a single mug in the mail. Had I know I would have received a free mug, I might have bought two cars.

At least you get those. I dont get anything from Acura. We didnt get the mugs after we bought the car either. Maybe they werent doing that in 2006?

lol i was gonna post this too. I got the same thing as you (both mugs). They are very nice indeed. I like free gifts

 

I didn't get the tumblers but I did get wine glasses. My wife uses them for plants.......LOL

 

I like those enough to buy one. Anyone know a part number?

 

Im jealous! This is my second Acura and i never got a free gift

 

I'd like to know what your wife puts in those glasses, because those are some huge plants. They look awesome.

Got the same mugs last week. They are quite nice. I got my TL last October.

 

I, too, received the mugs last week and had my 08 TL since October. I like 'em.

 

Do you guys have to request for those mugs? I don't get crap from Acura except my monthly bills. I'll trade that for some mugs anyday. haha..

Got my car in June 2005 and 4 years later...still nothing.

 

I've owned 7 Acuras. No mugs, no nuthin'. Not even the Acura magazine!

 

I want some of those too. Anyone know where I can get them? I checked eBay, but only found a couple of ceramic mugs. My cup doesn't fit my cup holder. If anyone knows where to get these (online preferably) please let me know.

I received the same two mugs as well last month. Bought my car in October '08. At the time of purchase the dealer also gave me a coffee mug and small thermos. I think I now have enough to fill all the cupholders.
