Plastic Trunk Molding

Hey all,

Is there any way to replace or repair the silvery plastic molding piece that is above the license plate area?

I tried searching and the one really relevant post I found alluded to the idea that I'd need to buy a whole new trunk. I'm not sure if they were talking about the same piece that I am. I circled the piece in red.

Thanks

Thanks.

I can handle the removal, but need to find the part number to get a replacement.

Some how it got a nick on it that cracked the surrounding area. Think of a ball mark on a green near the edge of the bottom lip.

I may try Plasti dip on it. Not sure how a matte black will look on my CBP TL.

Is there any paint product that mimics that piece's appearance? Some DIY way to fix it so it looks normal? I'm guessing power coating is out for me, but maybe there is an easier simple product (i.e. Plasti dip).

I feel you. I am gonna plasti dip the front grille guts but with a CBP not sure how that will look. May have to do lower grilles as well to keep the balance.
