Very cool effect to have have the car in shiny clearcoat and the other parts were being ripped off.
kinda like those "Bio-mechanical tattoos" you see on peoples arms and stuff
Yea and just like paint, prep is more important than the product you are spraying. If its not preped properly its not going to stick. If done properly with enough coats and one were to take the time to clean and prep the car the way they should its VERY durable. My friend would take it thru the car wash (the ones with the spinning brushes) never peeled it off in 2 years. Plus the more layers you put on the easier it peels off when its time to take it off.

You can make any shade you want, or get the gallons and use a spray gun. They also make a gloss, pearl, copper, metallic etc top coat now. If you spray 4-5 layers it's extremely durable it's not gonna come off unless you deliberately do it, you can even go through a car wash with it. And worst case if it does get messed up, peel off the affected panel and fix it in an hour or so. Small touch ups can be done by using a solvent to smooth out the tear/rip and then just throw another coat on. I did my wheels a few months ago and they're holding up great.

Plastidip is a great way to change the color. $350 is nothing, a full paint job is $3k+ for quality job, vinyl wrap is $2k. $350 is NOTHING compared to that. You can mix colors to create a new color. If its applied good it looks great. Don't let all these guys deter you from dipping your car.....it won't damage the paint or anything. Look at dipyourcar.com to see more examples and less judgmental close minded morons.

Hey...all I'm saying is they aren't to my taste. Especially those pastel colored ones. It is personal tho, for the owner of the car, doesn't mean any of us have to like it or dislike it. You have a $30K, $40K, $50K car and put a $2 rubber coating on it? Is that like wearing a rubber?

FYI, I'm not a grandpa, old enough, definitely, and I'm not offended by you pointing that out.

We can agree to disagree Aretardedorange, not everyone is going to like Plasti-dip. If you like it, more power to you brotha! I personally, don't like plasti-dip It's pretty tacky... HOWEVER, in those picture's anything tacky can also be done right. On a side note, I think you need to handle different opinions in a better manner, I've noticed a lot of unnecessary drama, just let it be brotha.

Back on topic, you think I can PLASTI-DIP my supercharger that purple color? ha ha
