on the way back from my pizza run. i had to take a left turn to head back home. i pulled up to a stop light and had to yield for a srt 4. so i pulled behind him and notticed that he was going about 40mph in a 55mph zone. followed him for about 1 mile. then the sucker floored it. i dropped it in third and went after him. was on his but at 100mph and could of taken him. but my turn was approaching so i road his tale till i had to turn, letting him know that i had his milk. personally i knew that he had me beat off the line. i didn,t think that i could run him downd that fast.

 

yeh man, we can smoke srt4's pretty good. i was surprised the first time,too. kid at my school has one, and he tailed my ass the whole way down the road frmo school, so i gave him the go around, waitin for him to get next to me, and floored it. he had that "i pooped my pants" face kinda liek that hahha

 

lol... i knew a guy that had one and made it out to be arocket. he wanted to race me when i had my 5spd auto. but never got to.

 

I beat one to one time, was suprised. Still it was about 98 degrees at night. I think this had an effect on his turbo

 

Maybe ya'll should post what your driving and mods..u must be pretty fast to beat a car that can run a 13.6-13.8 stock...and from a roll be pretty brutal.

Usually, the "kids" that own srt's can't drive them...so a lot of kill stories are of people beating the driver not the car.

The guys that can drive and have mods are running mid to low 12's..on stock turbos. And if your beating them then you have the fastiest TL eva. Cheers.

 

Most of the SRT/4 drivers are young... they drive fast and furious. Always trying to race me whenever I come across a SRT/4.
I don't have any kill or killed stories on SRT/4 since I never really bothered to race them. Usually I come across them in heavy traffic... so no stories.

 

SRTs are beatable..but I question anyone that says they can beat them "pretty good"..unless of course it is a really fast car such as a Terminator or LS1. I love my srt cuz it's fast and gets good mpg and is a fun daily driver..but I really can't wait till the Challenger comes out so I can get out of it..hopefully the price of a Chally will put it in a higher percentile so the little kiddies that give SRT4's a bad name can't get one.

 

Yeah i beat one from a stop yesterday after work. He was a really young driver id say like 17-18. Needless to say my auto MERKED HIM.

I have a 3g TL auto w/ AEM CAI and UR pulleys Stock tires

 

My wifes 05 TL auto takes me off the line too..mainly cuz of wheel spin in the srt..1st is useless..2nd is ok until boost kicks in then it's useless again..3rd it finally hooks (usually by this time the race is over and the srt has lost to the TL)..when I raced her from a 2nd gear roll it got pretty ugly for the TL..but from a dig it's close and if the srt loses traction the race is lost. Put some slicks on the srt and it's pulling 1.7 60 footers.
