Pics of TL w/ Mud Flaps?

Anyone have a pic of their car with Mud Flaps? I am thinking of getting them, but I would like to see the car equipped with them just to make sure that it doesn't look corny.

Looks more "corny" when you don't have them. The front has mudflaps by default so adding some in the rear balances things out.

They come with flaps on the front? Mine didn't... If this is the norm, I would love to hear about it, but all of the TLs that were on the Tempe Acura lot looked just like mine.

The TL does not come with any mud flaps.

I don't understand what "corny" looks like on a car.

Personally I think the mud flaps detract from the sleek lines, but others like the look and/or functionality of the flaps. I do think they are more acceptable on a NBP or Anthracite TL than on the lighter colors.

Front 'splash guards' come standard on Canadian TL's. Rears are an option.

Thanks, I didn't know that. What is up with all the Canadian tweaks for this car? I mean, making the KPH the bigger number on the speedometer makes obvious sense, as does the option for a French voice with the Navi. But some of the other stuff is just plain weird. Why is it, for example, better to have a washer fluid meter in Canada? Why is it better to have front mud flaps? And why aren't certain color options available in Canada? Weird.

TLGator,

Thanks for the feedback. "Corny" is a technical term for someone who may try and make their car look way too cool by adding accessories that are a little over-the-top. ;-)

Kinda like those Sentras that you see on the road with huge wing spoilers. 'Cause we all know that the massive 4 cylinder in that car needs all that down force it can get...

If anyone has a pic, I would still really appreciate it.

Also, Nav not available on the 6sp but HPT are standard and all 6sp's have ebony interior. Canadian TL's built in Marystown OH too.

Joeeder - Ah, thanks. Some people on this forum use the term "ricey" to describe that kind of stuff. I wonder, though, what the origin of "ricey" is, and since it sounds slightly racist to me, I avoid it. But "corny" doesn't sound right, either. I think of "corny" as TV movies where someone is bawling their eyes out because mama just died in her sleep right after finding out her long-lost son was actually her brother. But whatever word we're looking for, yeah, right next to it in the dictionary is a picture of a Sentra with a big wing spoiler, underbody mods, and huge wheels.

Bluenose - If you say something to the Navi and it doesn't get it, does the Canadian version go "Pardon?" like the US does, or does it go "Eh?"

Thanks for the pics. Looks nice on the black. Hope that it looks as nice on the Anth.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone.

joeeder,

What tires (brand and size) do you have on your TL in the photo?

They appear to have a slightly taller profile than the stock tires.

coleb10,

They are just the stock EL42's that come on all of them. Same size, but maybe the angle and light is making it seem different. I am getting some Mods and I got the tint done, so I will post those when they are all done.

More different stuff in Canada that kindof pisses me off:

- Navi not available with 6MT
- XM not available on any model

Thanks to everyone for the pics and the feedback again. After considering how the car looks with the splash guards, I think that they will go with the Anth pretty well. So, I will probably pick some up.
