picking up a new car but it's raining. what should I do?
Today I'm picking up my G from the dealer. After 90 days, it has finally arrived. One problem though...! Today and for the rest of the week it is raining and it is extremely hard to inspect a car for scratches and dents in the rain. Is there any kind of document that I can receive from the manager stating that it is raining and very difficult to inspect the car and if I find scratches or dents during the next couple of days, I am more than welcome to bring the car back and have the scratches and dents removed at the cost of the dealership? I know that I no longer own a TL, but I would still apprecitae your opinions!
Thanks
Thanks

Mine does it as a matter of habit so I didn't have to leave special instructions but no reason why your dealer can't accomodate you.

i'm sure they will have it in the service area all cleaned and spotless. This should allow you to look for any imperfections. don't slip and slide in the rain with that RWD... good car choice... enjoy it!

TL Loverrrrrrr
I have to pick my new TL on a pouring sunday afternoon.
I was able to inspect the car before the rain got really hard.
However the drive on the way back home on I-15 was nerve racking, you know how californian can't drive in the rain !!.. I was afriad some stupid idiot driver would crash to my spanking new TL on the 1st day.
Luckily I made it back home and my TL too. Just want to share that.

I picked up a new car in the rain once.
The dealer had it all detailed and in the service bay so I could inspect it while both it and I were nice and dry.
No, its not as good as seeing it in direct sunlight but you can still spot most dings or scratches.

the combo that i got was a diamond graphite with willow cloth. as far as mods go, i think i'll stay stock for now, until i get use to the vehicle. my car doesn't have the sport suspension option, but i'm thinking about adding the sport suspension to it. i've seen a few people on the g35 board selling their sport suspensions when they've upgraded to eibach's, h&r's...
The price is decent as well, $170 i think. I'm also thinking about getting the 17'' sport rims which come with the sport susepension package. the only difference is the design between my 17'' non-sport wheels. I may also get snow tires for the winter for better traction.
hmm...as far as mods that's probably it, except for maybe an Infinity Basslink for the trunk.
