Picked up my WDP tonight.
Car came in a week early
Love the look of the parchment and wdp, very classy. Here are my first impressions of the car and how it compares to the 3 series I sold for the TL.
1.) Interior is a dream. Love the layout, colors, and look.
2.) Compared to my 3 series, the stereo is top notch for a stock stereo.
The 3 series stereo is terrible unless you pay $700 for the harmon which isn't that great either. The TL stereo is very clean sounding, not a shake the street type of stereo. Just very clean. I bought Queensryche Empire DVD-A at Best Buy, good tight sound.
3.) The suspension is a little bouncy compared to my 3 series but not enough to bother me. The suspesion must be tighter so the bouce might be a result. The 3 series is very smooth.
4.) XM Radio- very cool. Wasn't sure if I would spend the $$$ on it after the 3 months but after browsing the stations I think it is probably worth it.
5.) Then engine is a dream, great smooth pickup with plenty of power. My 3 series had 170 hp so I'm going to love the extra 100 hp. The engine is so quiet and smooth.
So far I'm very happy with the purchase. It is the best value out there and I expect the quality will be good when compared to my sometimes not so dependable 3 series. I'm just amazed at what you get for the price on this car, it feels like a much more expensive automobile.
I debated getting the TSX instead of the TL but after driving the TL now and seeing it in my garage I'm glad I went with the TL. The TSX is a great car for the price but the TL is soooooo much more car than the TSX.

Congrats on the new car, Mindcrime. Also, thanks for the very helpful points on the comparison. Do you mind my asking which 3 series you had?
Enjoy the new car!

I'm right behind you...
I should be going to pick up my WDP-pa TL tonight...well...my wife's...
I agree with your thoughts on the TSX. It's the opposite situation at Nissan. The Altima is so nice now that I can't see getting a Maxima. Same platform, 20 less hp, 600 less Lbs...
Now a TSX with the big V6 might be a different story.
Good luck with your new TL.

I will have my WDP/parchment 3 months tomorrow and still feel the same way about it as you did on your first day. Enjoy.

I was almost in the same situation. I actually put a down on the TSX, but stuff happened and the dealership couldn't deliver. I winded up getting the TL in the end and I'm sure I've made the right decision. Enjoy your car, I know I will when I pick it up this saturday
