Pic request: 3rd brake light through 5% tint

Well now I want to go darker and this time have the tint guy not cut out the 3rd brake light portion.

Does anyone with 5% tint covering up the 3rd brake light have pics of it on? I would like to see how visible it is during bright sunny day and at night as well. Appreciate it.

I don't have any photos but the light should still be visible pretty easily. Have you thought about how hard it's going to be to see our the rear at night? I'd imagine it would be a PITA

Have you ever heard of fly eyes? Apparently it's pretty big in the UK(not sure if it's the UK) and its essentially a tint with tiny holes (hence "fly eyes"), so it doesn't interfere with light output. I've never seen it in the states, but has anyone else heard about this to substitute tinting lights.

I just have 5% done on my TL. I will post the pictures tonight. I have a request for you.

Can you describe and post pictures on how the trim piece around the rear LED 3rd brake light looks? Is there a gap? Should the rubber on the trims edge be making contact with the glass? etc...

It's going to be visible, but not very crisp, that's for sure. Why not just have him cut out the third light?

You'll be able to see the brake light during the day. I have mine tinted over. It looks alot better then it cut out. IMO

Agree. I have 10% with NO cutout (I don't recommend it) leave the whole back glass tinted.

I posted pics of mine in the daytime in another thread like this last fall. Very visible day and night.

If you search it, you should be able to find the pics.

The rubber portion of the trim piece is making contact with the tint. As you can see it doesn't look as good with the cutout. I know I am being picky. It looks dark in the picture because I took it during a cloudy day. Could someone take a picture of the brakelight shining through 5% during a sunny day?

Back windshield looks funny when the 3rd brake light isn't covered by the tint. I have 20% on my back windshield and it covers the 3rd brake light. Light shines through during day just fine. I'm sure 5% will still be visible.
