Painting Acura Symbol in Wheel Center Caps?

Tomorrow I plan on repainting my rims. In the past I painted the wheel black and painted the Acura symbol in the cap white. I was wondering if you guys knew any easy way of going about doing this. Previously I painted the cap white with a can of krylon and hand painted the cap black but it isn't quite perfect. It was too hard to get a paintbrush in that groove. I was just wondering if anyone had any better ideas for the job.

You should use a fine tip art brush. I don't think there is a real easy way to get into those grooves. It seems like you did a pretty good job the first time around. Patience is the key.

Yeah I tried using a small brush but it would get on the inside wall of the groove in some places and not in others and it didn't look great. I'm thinking of putting some paint in a syringe and flood the groove with it, that way it may be more even. Any thoughts?

Maybe paint the whole center cap white. Let it dry. Plasti dip the whole thing. Peel off everything but the Acura symbol then paint everything black. Then peel off the plastic dip that was covering the white part....but that might take forever so maybe the brush is the way to go lol

A roundabout way, but it would work.

So what worked for me is if you thin down your paint to milk-like consistency. You can then feed the paint drop by drop into the larger areas and use a thin brush to pull the paint around the groves. Unless you're pretty ham-handed the surface tension at the top keeps the paint in the groove and you just need to help wick it down the groove.

I just used a q-tip to fill the stamped "A" with silver. There was smudging on the raised part, so then i just went over that with my gloss black and it came out pretty good

Im no expert on painting but this is what I did. I took the cap off and noticed the "A" in the center was raised up a little. So I took a knife and sloooowly cut the "A" out of the center. It seems that it is a thin strip of aluminum or some kind of flimsy metal. Either way if you are careful you can get it out without damaging it. After that I painted the cap then the symbol, let dry, glue back in place, done. Took maybe an hour minus drying time. Use some acetone to clean up some of the residual adhesive before painting. Hope this helps

I used the syringe method. Flooded the A with red paint, then spread it around with a toothpick. Go very slow because you can get it on the side & splash it around. Then let it dry once you get even coverage!

Can I ask what kind of paint everyone's using when you're hand painting/using a brush?
