Paint question... Need advice...

So, last weekend I was waxing my car and noticed the front of my hood and bumper has these little cracks in the paint. They sort of look like mini birds feet. The car is a 2004 TL; with 75K miles on it, and I wax this pain at least a couple times a year. The car is garaged and I even park it in the shade at work. Could I have a warrant claim with Acura for this? Seems like a crummy paint job from the factory. I bought this new back in '04, but my extended warranty ended this past February. I wonder if they warranty paint differently.

Any advice?

Thanks guys...

it's called "crows feet".

it's considered environmental damage. It will have to be repainted.

Is this a Acura Warranty thing? Covered under the factory warranty? Or am I screwed?

i've read about civic owners getting it done under warranty, but it's like 3 years or 36k miles.

Only way to get it now is to get a good will service approval.

My 2004 nissan frontier has it all over the hood.
I'm shit out of luck, and should have caught it earlier and took it to the dealer right away.

Sorry to hear that, I wonder if some of these TL's were affected by the bad clear coating that effects alot of 98-05 Accords from the same period. I have seen lots of them faded and really was not a result of what the owners neglected to do....... and this is why, here is their results with Honda Corp.

Good info guys. I appreciate it, but I am probably SOL. Oh well, the car still looks good; as long as you don't get up close to it. Bummer!
