Advice please: have read everything here on clearing this code on a 2006 Acura TL. Replaced the Evap solenoid purge valve with one off eBay (represented as new and looked new) but it didn't clear the code. The "new" purge valve tested (ohm's) the same as the old valve - about 30 ohms - so, after driving the car around a few short trips w/new valve and code still not clearing, I sent it back knowing I may have to buy a new purge valve once again, this time certified OEM. Have checked the hoses and accessible wiring (the valve is getting the proper current) and no issues found. Though haven't checked the entire circuit with a vacuum gauge. Want to sell the car and need to clear the check engine light to do that. No other codes are coming up; earlier this year the "tighten gas cap" warning came on a few times but it has since gone away and I replaced the gas cap with a new cap anyway. The easiest thing, though the new OEM evap purge valves are three figures now, is to replace it again. But before I do that, wanted to ask your advice. Thanks for any information.
