Overall, a BAD DAY!

After a long day of work, I got rear-ended in my 04TL while stopped on a highway off-ramp (I was up front, waiting to merge into traffic).

I'm not looking forward to what I'll see tomorrow when the sun comes out.

I'm hoping my baby didn't get hurt too bad ... :'(

Sucks, but important thing is you're OK. I'm sure the car can be fixed good as new.

GotJazz I understand your pain, happened to me. It is a sick feeling knowing your rather new car has been scarred. Hopefully you get it fixed quickly and properly!

I hate rearendings. I try to avoid them by leaving enough space at a light or onramp to creep forward if the guy behind me is moving too fast from my tastes. It doesn't always work, though. Sorry to hear about your baby. :'(

Wow, sorry to hear that! Hope everything is okay and that you didn't suffer any back pain. Got the info from the other driver?

Let us know (pics, info etc) how things turn out.

Oh yes, the obligatory:

I thought my slight hood scratch was bad.

Good luck getting it fixed. There are a lot of very good body shops in the US

After looking at the car in the daylight, it looks like minor damage - more likely that most of the damage happened under the rear bumper. I'm going to take it to an estimator tomorrow to get a professional opinion.

It actually looks like my body may have picked up most of damage - my neck still aches. If it still feels this way tomorrow, I'll get checked out myself.

Oh, well. It sure could have been worse ...
