I bought in January 2004 a lot of highway for work soon to be closer to home.

Car has been flawless pretty much. i just wish someone made Hp clutch for it. The comptech is a flywheel and clutch not the pressure plate. The stock clutch is fine it's the pressure plate that sucks we need more griping power Now that my car is not a teenager anymore i think i will add the dvd to the navi

What kind of maintenance have you had done so far? My 04 almost has 20k on it and the only thing I've had done so far is oil changes. I just want to know what to expect for the future.

No real maintenance just did my own brakes twice and that's mainly because of road racing The only problem i have had just happen recently the rear calipers were sticking after the cold weather and snow got to them. It turned out to be the emergency cable was dirty and calipers full of dirt and salt from the snow. of course this happen after the 50k warranty So it cost me dough to have them cleaned

I'm at 43k here and just had my tranny replaced.

New tranny I think is better than the old. Shifts smooth. And not nearly as noisy as the old one.

Have a few burned out bulbs on the steering wheel which will be replaced next week.

Overall, I'm happy with the car assuming the new tranny holds up for another 150k miles.

i just crossed the 50,000 mile mark a few days ago and i bought the car in sept 04. Its time for some brake pads now and I had to put some tires on it and get an alignment. So far the car has been pretty good. I dont like how quickly the abs kicks in though and the drive by wire sucks sometimes when you wanna punch up a quick passing gear

58k here.......steering pump going out. I think another guy here with about the same mileage is experiencing the same thing, so this is a heads up.

Other than that, still going strong. Purchased back in September 03

I sold mine in October with 45k. If I still had it, it would be over 50k now.

It was a great daily driver. Great interior. I was still on the original brake pads and rotors, which is impressive given how hard I drive.

Bought mine in Oct. 2003 and have about 46k on mine. I have the U2 edition of the car (rattle and hum). Can't stand those rattles. The leather gets on my nerves. I have a dent on the trim next to my driver's side window where I put my elbow while driving. I'm going to see if they can replace that for me for free - it's tacky. Outside of that, I've no complaints about the car. It's been a great buy so far... hopefully it'll go well for at least another 80-90k miles which is when I'll probably think about getting a new car.

43k on mine, got my car last year in Dec. Acura sent me a birthday card for the car. No problems still on same brakes/rotors. Have had regular oil changes, changed tranny fluid at 35k. Need new tires the oem's are crap, I will be buying rims in the summer, so for now those can wait. Company giving me a dodge charger in about 3 weeks, so I will be putting a cover over the car and putting it in the garage for the winter. Overall love the TL.

I forgot to mention that the sub rattles in the back dash and it can be heard outside of the car. I listen to music with heavy bass and it is very noticeable. uphill acceleration at low rpms yeild a groaning sound from the engine compartment. I hope I know i wont have any problems with the steering pump. But that torque steer is a pain. And I think thats what acura gets for putting so much horsepower and torque into a front wheel drive car. I just passed the 50k mile mark last week and best believe i had my eyes and ears peeled for any signs of faultiness.

50,600 miles......I still love driving her and looking at her. I will probably add some wheels this year to go with my sound system. I also got the all season mats for Christmas.

Wow! Picked mine up April '04. Just hit 17K. Wife drives it most of the time. At this rate the car will be over 5 years old before I hit 50K.

I'm glad to hear things are going strong. The steering pump issue kind of scares me. We shall see, I guess. I didn't buy the extended warrantee because, you know, it's an Acura (Honda), so why bother? Maybe I'll look into it.

46K on mine

Just blew my subwoofer recently so it vibrates like crazy, sounds horrible if the SW if above -4 in a bass-heavy song. LOL! I too have the U2 edition of the TL .. but I always have XM or CD's playing so I can't hear the rattles.

I have the A-spec kit, and absolutely love the way I can toss this car into turns .. I have brand new pirellis' that handle great, I have the AEM intake which I love, and am looking forward to putting on these new exhaust manifolds that net 21whp... would love to do a s/c but can't afford it right now.

Overall, no other big issues on this car (knock on wood) ..

04 TL--49,889 so i'll hit that buy the end of the week:P Transmissiion groaning noise was fixed not too long ago. They said some link between the trans and engine either goes bad or was bad design and was replaced. that's why i would hear more noise than usualy between 50-60 mph.
Sub rattles..probably fix that my self soon when it get's warmer
