Outside Temp Sensor

Has anyone noticed a caliberation issue with the outside temp. sensor after parking the car at an incline ? I was visiting a friend of mine and had to park my car in his drive way which has a pretty acute grade. After few hours (it was a pretty hot day = 91 degrees or so), when I started the car the temp sensor showed 120 degrees .... after driving for few mins it started to come down and I think it started to show the correct ambient air temp. But ever since I have a suspicion that my outside temp guage has gone cuckoo and is no longer accurate .. .is there any way to check the caliberation ? Or am I just imagining ... ???
