Did you guys not get the free Acura 2004 TL keychain?

 

This thread is getting worse and worse by the minute as I keep discovering thing I never received with my car. No pen, no magazine subscription, no flashlight, and now no keychain

At least I got a free Sony T616 Bluetooth phone which I'm sure the rest of you got.

 

I use only REDLINE ink for my pen!

 

All I got for "free" were the locking wheels bolts and a trunk tray. I want a pen.

 

Yes, I got this also after calling my dealer and complaining. They had substituted two of their own keychains and thought that was good enough..... NOT..

So, my inventory is: Pen, small Flashlight, Acura Keychain and two dealership Keychains.

WOW.... So for a buying these for only $34K they throw in a free car!!

 

I got a pen, but NO F*CKING CAR.
My pen has: ELS,DVD,VSA,XM,ABS,EBD,VTEC,HID,MID,HPT,TLC,HFT,FM ,AM,LED,
TCS,SRS,AC (let see if anyone can find any other acronyms in the car or manual!!!).
Oh I forgot, my salesman was a hot looking chick so I was nervously fingering my pen which proceeded to leak its ink and then wouldn"t work till the next day! I feel a TSB coming!

When I write faster the pen pulls to the side more.. grrr!

I do love the little red flashlight keychain thingy. I used that to see inside my fuse box one night when I was installing my radar detector. I wouldn't have to use the light if acura wasn't cheap and put some floor lightning near the gas pedals but I guess thats what the keychain was for. :P

 

Well, here are the two free pens I got when I bought my car. The red one will have a coat of Zanio on it by the weekend.

The red pen is faster in a stright line but the black one handles better in the turns.

I'm surprised that nobody got the Acura pen that vibrates when you write faster than 50 words per minute.

Does the pen vibrate around 55mph?

 

I noticed that the leather of the owners manual case is cheap looking. I accidentally left mine on my seat, and it got a really bad case of butt prints. Is this normal?

I only got wheel locks, trunk tray and mud flaps... BUT NO DAMN PEN and other FREE STUFF

 

I guess I'm lucky, I got the flashlight and two different pens too. But here's the problem..... I took the pen back for some rattles, the ever popular vibration and memory issues. When I got the pen back, the lid was broken, it still can't remember what to write and when writing 55 words per minute, that damn vibration is still there. I guess in the process of fixing my rattle in the spring assembly, the dealer broke part of my lid and didn't even put it back together right. When asked about the memory issue I got the "Hmmm, you're the first one thats complained about that". As far as the vibration, nothing was even said while picking it up.. IT WASN'T EVEN NOTED ON THE WORK ORDER!!!!!!





The rattle in the steering column is fixed but in the process broke the column housing and didn't put the bottom dash cover back on right......

My dealer gave my my old '02, worn out Acura key chain back. CHEAP BASTARDS! No flashlight and no mug either. Dammit. Might as well take the car back.

By the way, svtmike, that comment above had me laughing so hard I was crying.

 

- got free keychain from Svc Dept. I asked the Dealer Manager for it and he said, pick any one u like.! - great!

I got a pen and a keyrinf on my 01 CL-S. NOTHING for the 04 TL. Maybe because I hammered them a bit on the price. But come on, you can't cough up a pen or a key ring? Cheap fawkers! (my dealer)

I did get that POS flashlight though. That's only becasue I took delivery a couple of days before the delaers Ride and drive introduction, and they had a case of them laying around. That flashlight is awesome. It projects a heavily defracted beam about 7 1/5 inches. Perfect for... well... nothing.

 

Hey I got the blue flashlight too! It says acura but its distorted beam makes the buttprints on my seat more noticeable! I hung it from my rear view mirror so when I hit 55 the harmonic vibrations cause a discotec effect while listening to my BeeGees 8 tracks. I'll post my pictures of my 8 track installation after I finish installing my audiophile gade turntable!! Yes, I also got a key chain but it makes a popping noise when I put key rings in it, I'm going to try some felt tape on that. Hey, you guys got the old sh*tty leather folder (zipper) I got the new high tech magnetic one! Unfortunately, I can't keep it in the glove compartment since it screws up the navigation compass, there goes another F*CKING TSB!!!!!!

 

So, I took my pen back to the dealer and got it repaired. I took it out for a spin and ran into a guy using a Bic. The stupid look on his face as I wrote past him was priceless. What a pathetic fool.

Then, I run into a guy with a "Mont Blanc" pen. I had to go against him. We were word for word for a couple of pages and then he just quit! What else would you expect from a FRENCH pen.

 

I was pretty happy with my leather binder and pen. But then, when I was at the dealer to get my license plates, I was speaking to the owner of the dealership and he gave me ANOTHER pen. This one had dealership advertising on it. Then the salesman asked me for my address again and the next day a great basket filled with cheese, crackers and wine arrived, compliments of him. All I can say is ...what a car! I would buy another one just for the pens and wine.

 

My package had the wine and chocolate covered nuts but no cheese. How can a car company be so inconsistent - its no wonder we owners are outraged.

 

Wait.. you got cheese, crackers, wine, chocolate... and someone got a mug!! Damn.. I didn't get a mug. Grrrr.

Found a real use for my Keychain Flashlight. I shine it on the floor and make my dog spin around in cirlces.

Hey Donte.. don't get caught with the Acura keychain when you get pulled over. The cops might think it's illegal and write you a ticket.

I bought the extended warranty for my pen. My first ink cartridge went out at 6 months, and now I'm a second.

My pen stopped working about a week after I got my 03. My acura keychain broke after 2 weeks too!

 

One of my uncles bought a brand new Ford Pinto once and he got a Ford pen. While writing with it, he bumped the back of the pen with a pencil, and it burst into flames. He had to go the the emergency room.

SO I guess it's always something.

 

A coworker looked at my Acura pen, and commented that it's just a gussied-up version of the pen he got with his new Accord.
