Out of town and this happened HELP!

My parking lot flooded big time while I was out of town. I smelled that musty smell and the car would not stay started when I came home. My oil looks milky brown yellow. My neigbor said it was sitting in over 2 feet of water for at least 12 hours. Since I dont have full coverage what do i do? Can someone tell me how to flush that transmission an motor oil myslef. It will start but keeps shutting off and i dont want to drive it.

Please HELP me!!!!!!

Thanks

No full coverage = your responsibility.

Can I ask why a new TL wasnt under full coverage?

I should ask, what coverage do you have!

Try changing the oil a couple times, flush it out real good, check all electrical connections, etc. etc.

Ouch! That sucks. I would start by replacing all the fluids and also the air and oil filters. Have it towed on a flatbed to a shop where they can run their diagnostics on it and make sure that things are either working fine or they need to be fixed before the car is driven again.

Please don't try to start and run your car. Get it towed to an Acura Dealership and let them flush and clean whatever is necessary to get the car running safely. There are many electrical connections that might need cleaning or replacing so that your car can be driven safely. Sorry to hear about your situation but I'm sure there will be many other people in your shoes in the Hurricane area. Good luck getting your car repaired.

The reason he doesn't have full coverage is because this is a 2G TL (2000TL) and he already posted this twice in 2G TL. so this thread is closed now.

I would move this to 2G but this doesn't add anything to the 2 threads he has there, which I merged, and also most of this is about full coverage, so it can stay here.
