OUCH....FrankensteinTL

I was looking for what was available for my TL on Ebay.

I came across this poor hideous 2005 TL. I almost shed a tear.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Acura...00166072QQrdZ1

Only has 24,500 miles and has been thrown back together poorly. Can someone save this poor TL?!? Buford, Georgia.... You can see this former black beauty trying to hide from the camera.

At least the seller ain't trying to mislead you. Gotta give him props for being honest with his. You pretty much know what you're getting into.

So, it's AM and NBP?? Then you could REALLY look like everyone else!!!

Buying a salvage car is one thing... buying a salvage car from E-Bay is a whole new level of stupidity....

what a mess, somebody is either going to loose their a$$ when they buy the project car or better start parting it out and try to recoup their expense. Hey we specialize in junkers here in GA

I rather spend money on this for a project car than a civic though. Doesn't look too bad for the price. If you really want a TL heres your chance:P It looks pretyt hot primed.lol. I wanna see the whole car in flat black...seriously. But yeh you could make a killing parting that car out.
1500 for navi
700 for wheels
door sills
center console
someone on here was trying to buy a spare glove box.lol
I wonder what happened to it too but i agree with the above post

OK.....so if they could repair the hood, rail, fender, etc....why did they give up halfway? They could have AT LEAST painted the fricken thing before putting it on eBay.

I really want to know what happened to the TL AFTER the accident....

They have it listed as a 2005, it is clearly a 2004. If you look at the seats it only has the 2 parts and the steering wheel A is one plastic piece instead out the A in outlined chrome......................whoops, my bad, i went back and looked at the pics again, the seats do have the 3 pieces but the steering wheel doesn't match up. (just edited)

It is a 2005. You can see in this picture where the hazard light button is the smaller size. The biggest difference between the 2004 & 2005 that can be seen from these pics.... the 2004 Hazard button is almost twice as tall...

jmbnova is correct it is a 2005. you can see the seats are in 3 pieces here

However the steering wheel is an 04. And look at those butt prints on the rear seats.

It looks like this car went through Hurricane Katrina

I wonder what his reserve is. I know some guy here that buys those salvaged car at the auction and fixed them up. But he does it all the way he doesnt leave them like that. He told me that he just saw a TL go for 11,000 and it would take a couple grand to repair.

He actually just got me a an '05 Neon SRT 4 with 6k. I know it's salvaged but its a beast and he restored it completely. Besides you can't beat 8k for that car.

Does anyone know why sellers put things like "WE HAVE PRICED THIS CAR TO SELL !!!" as this seller did. I mean does any seller price things in hopes that it doesnt sell?

If you notice, it has a new battery, Either the battery exploded onto it, or the rediator fluid got on it. Both of those can damage the Powder coat on the piece. The battery acid will do it faster, but the radiator fluid will do that as well. But my money is on the battery exploding under the front end impact that happend with this car.

For them to have to replace that much, I bet it was a hard front end crash.

Battery went KABOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because they replaced and/or repainted the trunk lid and they did not research exactly where the emblems should be located.

They are probably selling this car due to the repair costs exceed the value of the car and it probably has noticeable issues when you drive the car. In other words, it's a big
