Original owners, how many are left?

Over the past year I've noticed a ton of new members buying used TLs. It got me thinking, how many of us original owners are left on this board?

Yesterday at work, some a$$hole scratched my rear bumper. It looks like it was done with something sharp Wish I saw who did it.

bought june '05 with 13 miles on it, only 55Kmi on the clock and still looking good! no plans to give the TL up unless you're prying the keys out of dead hands.

Maybe we should start listing starting mileage (just for fun), month and year purchased, and current mileage.

'06 purchased Dec of '05
8 miles new

IHC and GGESQ - you guys put a lot of miles onto the car. Work far or just drive a lot?

Then again, I purchased mine used and put 20K in 9mos. I've always wanted one and had to go to Australia. They don't have Acuras over there (glad they didn't cause I would have paid $60K for it if they did). Came back to the States in 2010. Was just in need of a car and didn't really care what car at that point (been driving a company car for 3 years - free gas, maintenance, insurance, etc...) so I lost the owner/mechanical love connection. Was actually looking at a Altima cause of the price and reliability. Thought it was fine but nothing special. Then saw a used 06 TL w/ 68K in the lot with the camel leather and full NAVI, spoiler, package, etc... Took it for a test drive, then decided to put my life on the line by driving it to pick up my wife with the salesman in the back. Got the "I am going to kill you" look when she saw me, but knew that this mistress was worth the initial beatings. Now we're still in love and the first wife is only jealous when I spend too much time on the weekend with the mistress. She needed some work though: front and side mounts, fluids, LCA bushings, new tires, did timing/sparks/pulleys and battery. Found a member selling his 24K old stock 06 suspension and can't wait to put those on. I feel like it drives better than most newer cars minus the suspension clunks. I never hesitate to throw her into a ramp or speed up in emergency situations (I drive 45 min to work each way). She was dented during a hail storm and in the shop and have been driving Chevy's (300 and Malibu). I am scared to do anything with these cars because they're just not as responsive. The 300 makes me feel like I should be leaning back, listening to BIG Pimping and rolling like a thug (haha - side track).

Anyhow - thread hi-jacked. Just a great car and so glad that I got it. It was something I've always wanted (more than anything else and it ended up being so cheap). IHC - you can have your thread back. I might start a second hand TL owner thread :-)

Bought an 05 TL in July 05
Going to hit 104k any day now
No major issues

Still looks brand new from far away, from up close there small chips on the hood and a few dents on the door.

Planning on keeping my TL forever

I'm the original owner (new from April 2006), TL now at 70K miles. Like every other Honda/Acura (86 CRX Si, 94 Civic EX Coupe, 00 Acura TL) I've owned, it's been reliable as taxes. I'll keep it until they pull it from my cold, dead hands (well that or until it doesn't run anymore- hopefully > 200K miles).

41,114 miles as of this morning when I did my oil change

Great car! The trunk just surprised me by gobbling up a nice size Palapa table round with room to spare. I thought for sure that thing was going into the back seat area.

Original owner of both cars in my signature. At 100k and 53k respectively and running fine (although the body on the '02 has taken a bit of a beating).

In that time I've had a Pontiac GP (89k miles), an Impala (68k miles) and a Camry (43k miles) come and go without ever seriously considering keeping any of them.

Ordered my 04 TL 6M in Dec 03 and took delivery in March 04. TL has 54K on it now but it is now my wife's daily driver. I drive it rarely (like when it needs to be filled up with gas!) but it is still in great shape. Barring any major unforeseen issues, plan on keeping if for many more years. Currently putting less than 5K a year on it.

Another OG owner checking in. Bought my 06 Anthracite on Dec 26, 2005. Paid the bitch off a year ago. Best car I have ever owned. Inside is still a 9.5 out of 10 and the outside is a 9. Just turned 67,000 miles. I could only see getting rid of it if I were to replace it with an 08 TLS.
