After waiting nearly four months for my car, dealer said they would not be able to get me a wdp/navi/quartz/6/hpt, and I do not want it in another combo. Lucky for me, i went to another dealer and they are already taking the first allocations for 05, which will go in later today and arrive mid to late Sept. Since A-spec is in my plans, I didnt go for the hpt option because both commented that the combo is already rare and adding hpt makes it harder to come by. What was a little funny to me was that they were taking orders but had no info on the 05's, but im just praying I might actually get this one.

My dealer said that we should see this car at the end at the end of this month. I hope he is telling the truth.
I dont think the camel or parchment leater look good in the WDP. They should offer it with ebony leather.

A dealer told me he'd sell me the 05, due to arrive in September (mid) for it's MSRP, but never told me what the MSRP is. He did say that it is extremely close to that of the 04. He also couldn't comment on the changes between 04 and 05. Weird they'd offer it but don't give any info about it.

 

are you saying that you waited four months only to find out that, after waiting that long, they could not get the car for you??

 

I want a Redondo Red/parchment 6spd non-navi and was told it was also hard to find.
Only 2 in the state of FL.
Dealer said he would transfer for me if I paid the shipping. Don't think so.

 

The dealer had no info regarding the 05, I dont know whats new or if the price will be jacked up. I only placed a deposit with them and will be informed of changes when the dealer is informed. As for the other dealer and my original order I waited four months they told me no go on the WDP and now they have an 04 WDP coming in next week to make my life a living hell.

 

From this thread, it sounds like folks are preparing themselves for a price
increase for 2005. What is the likelhood of this happening ?

 

This reminds me of what happened in 2003. They took your pre-order and deposit, told you MSRP, then customers seemed to know more details than those sales in dealership did.

 

Funny, I did that same order a year ago, (same everything including HPT) when they did the first allocation on the 2004 TL, at the time all we had was info from the internet, but sure enough, it matched the allocation sheets, too bad Acura canceled all the first month 6spds, and converted them to Autos, otherwise I might have a TL still today!

That is strange isn't it. The salesman that went with me on a test drive didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned some of the quality control issues that were being discussed on web boards. Either that or didn't want to admit it.
