Optima Battery UPDATE...and concerns (help!)
Optima Battery UPDATE...and concerns (help!)
So, as many of you know, for the past several months I've been having a really hard time w/ simple start ups as well as DIPPING rpms. I finally went out and pulled the trigger on a yellow top optima battery (yeah, yeah no biggie for most of you, but hell i'm a poor college kid!
). Anywho, PROBLEMS ALL GONE; cranks up very nicely and no more dipping rpms! Everything's great...and considering that I never reset my ecu after doing the exhaust/cai she almost feels like she's running BETTER (probably all in my head)! Highly recommended!!!
Concerns: I saw on the website that optima reccommended the D35 series, but the problem was that in our region that model supposedly "wasn't available"; checked around a few places, with no good luck. So i ended up getting the D34 series. I understand that both series have different cranking amps? More so, the negative line coming from the car is at a 30 degree angle; more tension on the cable than usual.............think i'll have ne problems?!...it works so I'm not really concerned w/ the recommended series'.........i guess....
thanks,
eric

actually you're better off with the one you got in the sense that it is better performance wise
the D34 Series= Cold Crank Amps 750; Crank Amps 870
the D35 Series=Cold Crank Amps 650; Crank Amps 810
shouldn't be a problem.
