Question Open Question...

Hey all;

I'm new to the boards, and the world of Acura, in general. I am going back and forth between an 06 TL and waiting on the '07. I really like the idea of the reverse camera, and real-time traffic.

I have a couple of questions, for anyone that may know.

On the '07:

Anyone know when they may be hitting the dealers? I've read everything from mid-september to January.

Do we know if the TL-S will be the only model with reverse cam and Real-time traffic, or will this be available on the '07 TL as well?

On the '06

Is there an after-market available for the reverse cam? I've seen the reverse sensors (beeper), but no the cam.

I was offered a price from a Westchester County, NY dealer of 31,800 for a TL/NAVI/Auto. Does that seem like a decent price?

Thanks for any help and insight, in advance.

Mike

no one really knows much about the 07's yet.

an 06 as described, i have seen prices on the board as low as $31,400.
a reverse cam can be added to an 04-06, called a dom's box, you can also add a DVD player to your factory screen. the box is around $200 and cam is around $100.

Mike, that depends on your locale. In some parts of the country that is a great price. In SoCal, that's high. You can find a 2006 TL with AT and NAV for under $31k easily. Most dealers are giving you the $1000 (renewed for Sept) and the holdback.

The $31,000+/- figure makes me ill and I think it's a heck of a good price! I feel like I seriously got screwed by my locale and dealer...I keep reading on this forum how people bought the exact same car for thousands less; what's up with that? I paid a little over $36,000 for my car - minus taxes, etc. That's just not even right...

But, I am happy for all of the people who did get great deals; it's just that my wallet is a little envious, I suppose?
