ok so i got
a headlight that im going to test to clear out. but it doesnt have any components like the bulbs the caps to anything. in the DIY from the garage it says to stick the lens in at 200 degrees before preheat with everything attached to the lens.
Now when i go to bake it do i go down a few degrees because that stuff isnt there?? or do i leave it and just go through with the baking the same way the instructions point out? or do i cap off all the holes and then throw it in????

200 degrees is hot but isn't as hot as you think....double your body temperture. You can touch the plastic parts lightly without burning your hands. (look out for any metal parts though! experience.) Make sure the headlight is not touching anything in the oven including the grill. Keep it on a damp cloth.
I did it with cotton gloves 200 degrees was just right no melting nothing its ok just to stick in.... but what i did because i was by myself was stick a small flathead pry bar ( the size of a standard screwdriver in the top middle tab to keep a gap) and then as soon as u start to lift the tabs all around the lens it pops out about an inch with the glue still hot it stretches so i took a blade and ran it straight around the glue so it doesnt go everywhere. the shit is nasty it sticks to anything and everything. even 2 days after its out of the oven it still sticking the the kitchen floor lol. now instead of modding the actual chrome which i decided to paint ssm im going to shape fiberglass eyelids for it. the headlight i got was from ebay and a tester for me to see how im actually going to fuck up if i even dont fuck up.
But since i make a lot of things out of fiberglass i said hey y not use the lens as an actual template and do something no one else has.
