www.amsoil.com
you can order it online.
As far as just using regular motor oil, as the manual suggests as a TEMP replacement, don't do that.
I'm sure the GM stuff will be fine.

Engine oil doesn't have the high level of anti-wear additives needed for sufficien anti-wear protection. Honda MTF and other MT specific lubes contain a much higher level of the additives.
GM Synchromesh Friction Modified is a semi-synthetic fluid. Semi or part synthetic, which are synonymous terms, can mean < 25% synthetic content, and may sometimes be < 10%.
Redline MTL or Amsoil MTF are both excellent full synthetic fluids. Redline MTL can be purchased for a good price from www.myoilshop.com.

Man of God.....
Funny that you bring this up, Michael. I was talking to my shop guy today. Who sells RedLine. I was asking him which one of the RedLine product's is for my 06 TL? Is the MTl or the Mt-90? Which one......?

I agree
I agree with Michael.
I looked into RedLine also, along with AMSOIL. The tech advisor informed me that MTL is the correct application. The MTL-90 is too thick.
I chose AMSOIL instead due to AMSOIL's documentation stating it is a direct replacement to the Honda MTF. RedLine said it would work, but there was no direct confirmation.

For reference, I put Mobil1 in a '99 Civic Si hoping for better shifting only to find it got worse, especially when hot. I replaced the Mobil1 with Honda MTL the next weekend. Honda specified conventional motor oil in their transmissions at least thru the early '90's and Mobil1 made them shift even better, but this is no longer true with newer cars. I am very happy with the GM fluid in the TL.
