Welcome to the forum

If you scroll down the main page for your type car, there are several threads on oil and filter choice

RP is good stuff. As is Penzoil Platinum and Redline...
Any FULLY synthetic- read bottle carefully
Mobil1 and K&N make great filters

Use ONLY Honda trans fluid from the Honda dealer in your Acura transmission

Is it worth using a synthetic tranny oil for a tl with 24 k on it, or is the fluid in there fine?

I use Royal purple 5-20 and a wix filter...Since I work at O'reilly's RP is even cheaper tha Mobil-1 w/ the discount.... as far as the tranny goes..use only Honda/Acura fluid as using anything else will screw it up....i know from experience in my 99 accord!

Stick with Honda/Acura atf only, and change it at 30k miles and then every 15 is the new recommendation-I think !disclaimer disclainer!

Engineepending on the year, use 5/30 or the new cars _in order to make better numbers for the EPA- CAFE standards, use 0-20
Check the oil filler cap

Waiting for analysis from lab on how the Penzoil Platinum is holding up in my car.
They run an extra test to see how the built in additives are doing, and give estimate of how many more miles you can safely run that same oil before change
