I read the manual and it says turn the car off, turn the key to on and hold reset for 10 seconds. After doing this, the message Service B1 comes up, not a confirmation to reset it.

How can I reset it?

Also, i have some error messages from installing the CAI. I read somewhere that i can pull a fuse to clear the messages?

1) car on, off, don't matter.

Select info to view oil life reading. Hold Reset for 10 secs, you'll get a confirmation window to reset it.

2) You should of disconnected your battery prior to installing CAI...

2. i did. at any rate, now i have the message. i need them cleared.

 

1. After the first confirmaiton, when the B1 message comes back, continue to hold the Reset button - at least 10 seconds more (one user said it took him as much as a minute). You'll get another confirmation, IIRC; say "yes".

 

True.. it is kind of like the "are you really sure you want to do this" message you get on windows....

 

OK - oil life reset.

How about the diagnostic messages on the nav unit?
