oil change
oil change
thinking of getting a TL.
With my Honda Accord I go to Walmart an get my oil change for 12 dollars.
Is there anything special with the TL that would prevent me from going to Walmart to get my oil changes there? And yes, I know yo all are going to say if I buy a 33 grand car, why would I take it to Walmart? My feeling is that money doesn't grow on trees, and going to an Acura dealership to pay 20-30 dollars in the long run doesn't make sense when oil is oil as long as you change it frequently enough.

I'd say that oil is oil, but considering some experience I had with walmart quick lube lately I would never take one of my cars there. My girlfriend brought her car there, they changed the oil and put new tires on it. She got it back, looks at it and notices that the idiots there managed to rip off the handle to open the hood. Never mentioned it to her. She brought it back, after arguing for a few days managed to convince them to pay for a repair, which involved re-running the entire cable run from the handle inside the car to under the hood. Pretty extensive work to fix one of their mess ups.
So on top of all that, in the SAME VISIT, the idiots at wal-mart managed to tighten the bolt up too much and after leaving the car started leaking oil all over the place. Right now we are looking into having that repaired. They are trying to deny it saying that they couldn't have done it..despite the fact the guy who did it tried to put silicon around the bolt to seal it off, which didn't work so well. So after seeing all that, I will GLADLY pay the dealer more money to have them change my oil...no way am I letting a place like that trust my car.
