I know fiber glass is shit but I wonder how the fitment is.. they sell a full kit for 288 + 100 bucks shipping non painted.. for the ones who have a color that is no longer in stock.. any opinions on this??

damn too bad he didn't post any pics of the finished product to see how it fits and if its durable. i guess in a way if its 380 shipped plus job paint it would be same as getting a groupbuy but .. if the color is no longer in production like CBP then we'd have to get a set of diff color and repaint =/

i did there are pics of the lip but not installed or painted tho.. I wanna see how it looks like when its on the car to see how the fitments are for it

 

I still think OEM is best. PM AckTL05- he might still be able to source a front lip for you. For the money, it's painted and is a simple installation. I'd order the eBay lip only if the OEM wasn't available at all.

 

Verdict - not worth it.

Go with OEM as it's already painted and fits perfect.

The cost of getting the aftermarket kit painted and fixed to fit would end up costing around the same, or more.

 

yea I pm'ed Ack but he told me cbp is discontinued and that 2006 didn't have CBP but I believe the canadian version has cbp for 2006 anyhow, which means I have to order another color and repaint it which cost more?

 

^^^order another color and repaint it that way you don't have to worry about the fitting issue with replica, trust me it not worth it to buy replica kit.

That makes me think your car has been repainted or someone replaced the mirrors. Hell it could even be a late model 2006 and had been painted CBP from factory.

 

CBP might have been available in the Canada market in 06.
LOOK FOR YOUR PAINT CODE on the driver door jam. Thats the definite way to determine to original paint color.

Pic looks like CBP. When you discuss your car with US peeps, might want to say its a CDN model upfront. Honda / Acura will mix things up in the CDN market vs. US. The EL is a prime example.
