OEM Body Kit....Can't Decide.

Please don't get offended by my question, but I can't decide whether or not to add the full body kit to my NBP TL. Does anyone think it looks too pimpish or aftermarket? Does anyone think it doesn't blend well enough to the rest of the car?

Here' the thing....I do NOT want my car to look "aftermarketed." I love the lowered look that some underbody spoilers can achieve (ie Saab 9.3s look great), but I want it to look like a normal part of the car; not something tricked out from the local speed shop.

Thoughts??

Take a look at my sig.....i LOVE the OEM body kit.....very subtle and classy, yet it makes the TL stand out from the sea of other TLs. I get compliments on it all the time.

Man, that is one nice picture. It should be in the brochure. Of course, it'd be better if it were anthracite

EMF: Get the body kit. It "works" on the car. I think the car is a little too plain without the kit and/or the 18" wheels.

Yeah, I also think the car is too plain without it. It's a necessity for me :P Not very sporty looking without it.

It really depends...unless you're really knowledgable about the TL or know what the TL kit looks like, or unless you have a before and after picture to compare, you might not even know it's missing. I don't find it makes a dramatic enough difference to be worthwhile. Spend the money on 18's or the A-Spec suspension.

I get sooo many looks in my car... and I know it's greatly b/c of the kit... I think the stock TL (no kit) can sometimes blend into a pack of cars on the highway -- the kit is a great way to make yours stand out... it'll look especially nice on the NBP TL

btw... my buddy asked me if I lowered my car when I put on the 18's and the kit... and I told him that there was absolutely no drop (i have the stock suspension). The kit really makes it seem as if the car is lowered --

I know how you feel, I have a nbp tl also and I didnt like the kit all that much at first. After I put it on I love it! I think it goes well with the lines of the car and on the nbp it doesn't stand out that much so it looks almost stock but better. The front of the car does need the lip tho even if you dont put on the whole kit I think that the front lip makes a big difference, the side skirts stick out just a lil more then stock so you cant really tell a difference, as for the back I dont like how the middle is a different color and not all painted. I plan on having it painted soon tho. Overall I love the kit it still leaves the stock look but makes the car look more mean.

Looks really nice!! I guess the part I'm not sold on is the back. The line that goes from the rear wheel well to the back of the car doesn't blend.

But yeah...your car looks awesome. Thanks!

Do you have any pics of your car? I assume you have the stock 17" wheels, which I'll be keeping on mine for a while...

Thanks!
