I was considering the possibility of swapping a j35 engine and transmission straight out of an Odyssey into my 2004 TL, transmission axles and all. I was wondering if I get an Odyssey as a parts car, can I just swap everything over directly or will there be complications with the harness/ecu? Will I lose some functions if I use the Odyssey ecu? My TL just rolled over 220k, transmission is on its last leg and the engine needs a valve adjustment and just about every gasket. I don't want to get rid of my TL but I figured instead of putting money into repairing it for the same performance I might as well upgrade while I'm at it. I also don't have the time or resources for a manual swap so I was just wondering how possible it is to swap the automatic engine and transmission into a ua6 TL. If my idea is even possible, what year Odyssey should I look for? I know I should stay away from the vcm stuff but I'm not that educated on if everything will even fit or if the Odyssey axles/ transmission housing are different sizes from a TL. Any advice is appreciated, even if it's telling me it's impossible lol. I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to post this as I'm new to these forums.

The J35A6 engine from the 05+ Odyssey (LX/EX only) will bolt up to the 2004 6MT TL, as discussed in the thread below.
Not sure about the aspects of the auto Odyssey transmission / axles specifications for swapping.
I want to say the trans will swap; however, I'm not positive. I don't think I've seen it done yet here.
