Notchy 5th and 6th gears, anyone?

Anyone else with the 6MT notice a significantly notchier shift into 5th and 6th gears? Is this something that may pass with additional miles or is it the nature of the transmission?
Thanks.

Are you asking about sliding the shifter into the gates, or the spring resistance you feel as you drag the shifter to the right to get into the top two gears?

I'm speaking specifically of shifting into the respective gates.
5th and 6th just feel significantly crunchier than the other 4 gears.

Mine are a bit more, but I think that is the nature of the beast. You do more shifting in the lower gears and they get smoother. I think with time they will be just as good.

BUT, even they are so smooth compared to other cars I have no problem with them.

My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are 'crunchy'. 5th and 6th are smooth. I have an appt. with Acura to look at my care 8am on Monday.

If I rev the RPMs high in 1st, then shifting to 2nd is often a bit smoother. I like to shift around 3k tho. The smoothness comes if I shift around 4.5 - 5k

maybe the question should be who keeps mishifting into 4th gear when wanting to go from 5th to 6th? everytime i get on the highway, I almost shift from 5th to 4th, instead of 6th.

Initially (first few hundre miles) the shift from 5 - 6 was kinda rough. I had to really move the lever with force to get into 6.

Now nice and smooth at 1500.

go figure. All around the car is starting to break in nicely
