NOT Your Run-Of-The-Mill Everyday Brembo Brake Parts Question
Because I already know what parts I'm using. I'm just wondering about looks.
It's either:
- OE Rotors & OE Pads
OR
- StopTech Slotted (FRONTS ONLY) & Racing Brake ET500 pads.
But here's the thing:
I only need front pads. I can keep the OE rotors that are on now and get new OE pads. Or, I can use a set of used, but still good, StopTech Slotted Front rotors I have and get RB ET500 pads. I can't put slotted rotors on the rear (no $$$ for 'em).
Would it look bad/rice/ugly to have slotted rotors on the front only?

Yeah, they're both good street performance-wise.
I'd rather use the slotted with RB ET pads. Those pads are slightly less expensive too.
Just worried about the look of having slotted rotors on the front only.
Thanks all for the opinions so far.

Done. Slotted discs and ET500's on the front.
I am exhausted (also changed the oil, washed all the wheels inside and out, cleaned the suspension and wheel wells, wiped down the engine, washed the car and cleaned the intake filter).
Edit: forgot to add that I swept out the garage and it was HOT!! It was supposed to be cooler and rainy. BUT nooooo, .... HOT, HOT HOT!!!
Here's a pic from the last time they were on the car (pre-track day):

StopTech or Racing Brake. Others like Rotora as well. If you've checked all those, then I got nothin'

Yeah, these are StopTech. From forum vendor MrHeelToe - www.heeltoeauto.com.
Pretty sure Racing Brake has developed a 1-peice slotted for our Brembo's. They also have a 2-peice (which is the shiznit imho), but pricey.

the point of the RB 2 piece is when you finally need new rotors, after 4+? sets of pads on the street, or many serious track days in the medium or advanced driver group.
RB will be what goes back on their hats--probably has own pattern for bolts~
You have to drive a TL with RB stuff in front to understand- its amazing,
Stops on a dime and gives 8 cents change,,not the standard 2 cents
I have a competition race license,,some experience with brake pads (and `break` pads) wear-out under track abuse.. and street use...which can be worse on the brakes
RB rotors are made so tough -mettalurgically-, they had to make their own pad compounds for them--would eat other pads on the market in a hurry
rear slot is cosmetic for most drivers-
stoptech makes a nice `matched direction slots` rear rotor to RB fronts if you really need it
I find the wheels hide the rears, or your eyes are drawn to the front
anyone looking at the car is impressed enough by the fronts,,, and the cleanliness of the package
No one ever came up and said- you need slotted rears--that looks stupid without
What they do ask is- where did you get the rotors- how do you like them? how much?

Hey Tom.
RB now has a slotted replacement rotor for the rear to go with RB fronts.
Question on Bedding: These discs were previously on the car for a short time and bedded to a set of RB ET500 pads. I've now put the discs back with a new set of ET500 Pads.
Do I need to do the full recommended bed in procedure?

I would say yes. You still need to burn off the release chemicals on the pads which requires at least one or two good rounds of heating and cooling. One would probably be enough if you cant get a second in though....not an expert opinion, just food for thought.
