Not your most common first mod

Waiting for comcast to show up bordeum set in. I had these as take offs from my jeep so I figured i'd shoehorn them in.

TIR-6's

I didn't have a switch on hand so I had to use this lovely 1984 unit. I got an idea for a panel down there and hopefully my bro will get a chance to water jet it out for me

under dash end terminal. I used 5 core line through the firewall.

Distro/end terminal under the hood. Zip screwed to the cap over the intake

Main power supply. What a pain this was to figure out on how to keep it sealed. Just need to get the properly sized end terminal still

pretty much need to be looking for them to even know they are there

and what they are for. I need to adjust their level and aim them up still. comcast always shows up late and at the worse time.

The TL would make a badass cop car. Nobody would ever suspect it.

Best undercover I've seen yet was a ford windstar.

Nice mod you have there! DCH Montclaire huh? So Cal?

If so, I would love to check it out in person: Southern California Mega BBQ Acura Meet: OCTOBER 29th!

Could you also give us specs on the LEDs? Where did you buy them from?

I'm right coast

Specs are... well I dont know off the top of my head. 6 super led bulbs in teh 6 unit. poly lens gives it a very very wide angle to view from.
I'll take some pics later in the day time to show how they react on a white garage door.

Rather not share open supplyiers to the masses. While they are legal to sell to anyone who wants them, using them is on a permit basis. Without said permit they dont think you're a ff or emt. They just put it down as impersonation of a police officer... not good

Blazing down the road taking the TL to its limits::: Tendrils of pleasure and shivers of enjoyment

Flipping on the strobe lights and having everybody clear out of your way::: Utter coolness

Doing all this legally and for a worthy cause::: Priceless

Yea most places, emergency/first responders are allowed to have lights. Here in Ct, Blue lights only in the front for Fire, red if you are an officer, and any color in the rear for fire, green for EMT, and red and blue for police. we're allowed to use them on the way to a call however, blue lights is only a courtesy, people don't have to move for them but they usually do

that changed in 04 for here. Its now law to yeild. there is some debate on how they worded it. basicly it says that blue lights need to be treated the same as xy.xx traffic code. xy.xx traffic code is emergency viechle response code for anyone...

soooo

Hehe that nice...im a vol ff in PA we dont need a license for lights. I have a dash light now, but i would like to put some strobes in the front....either in the grill or lights. The grill would probably be a lot easier. Do you have any suggestions for where to place?

also do you think white or blue would be better? i had some strobes in my 2nd gen tl that were white and they blinded! they were awesome. combine that with a led mini lightbar on top with an led dash light and the cars really got out of the way!!! but now in my 3rd gen i dont wana use the min i lightbar cuz it might scratch or leave rust marks on the top of my car. any help would be appreciated
