Not so nice windshield addition

So I was driving home from a meeting thursday and had 2 others riding with me. Not much traffic, and all of a sudden a huge "thud!" hard and loud as hell. none of us have a clue where it came from or what it was, but here is the result (dead center in front of driver view) Its a little larger than the size of my fist.

That sucks.

Just some advice: Make sure you go OEM if you decide to replace it.

Looks like a baseball hit the windshield.

All depends on how old the car is, if they will pay for an OEM. When I had something hit my window and cause it to crack they said ok for OEM, but that was 4 years ago. Now since my car is going to be 8 next month, they wont pay for oem. I aqm getting it replaced again, because some idiots decided to scratch it up along with the rest of my car.

It may have been a golf ball if there's a course or driving range nearby.

meteorite? piece of an airplane? lol Was there any cars in front of you? If not then its obviously something that fell from the sky. I cant imagine a smaller rock doing that. To get an impact like that had to have been something somewhat big. Crazy!

that should be fixed for free by your insurance company ... Premium should not be affected . Get it done from dealer.
