not smooth shifter

I know I am really getting picky here but has anyone else noticed that the top stiching on the sifter is a little sharp? Its not horrible or anything but I can feel this stiching whenever my hand is on the shifter.

I am guessin that this is just my car and I will talk to service dept. tomorrow about it. Just wondering if this is something normal with the TL's.

I have a a 6speed.

This is a first - have you examined it and found anything protruding? Have you tried pressing down on the area with a credit card or similar object to try and safely flatten the offending area? This seems to me to be something where a little bit of common sense and self-help will pay off. Racing gloves?

I'll bet an afternoon of shoveling would also fix your problem, after the blisters heal.

cTLgo: I have no idea what your point is about the 6MT/6-speed quip. Is it an in joke or am i dense?

I do not have any stiching problems on my 6MT shifter, it's soft and smooth.

RR I think CTlgo was saying he does not have a problem on his 6MT shifter cannot comment about 5MT shifter.

I have noticed the same thing with my manual shifter. The stiching does seem to be a little harder there. It is like there is a knot there as part of the finished product. I have not looked really closely like RR suggests. Maybe tomorrow in the traffic jam, I will look at it. ;o)

JoganJani is correct, i had posted before argoldst edited his post indicating he had 6MT, I just assumed it was 5AT as it seems to be the majority tranny on the forum
