Not again... TL takes another blow

Last year my 06 MT was hit and had to have a door replaced, repainted blended, and then last night it took a hit and run to the left rear quarter panel. I spent that night and next day with my brothers, banging on doors, trying to find the culprit- I know which house they came out of. Its one of "those houses" people coming (no doubt with cash and leaving with something else) and going ALL the time- they wouldn't give up the guilty party. They all deflected and we never found the little F-er. Police didn't have any more luck and we never found the vehicle with the missing tailight that backed into my car (wasn't for lack of trying). Oh well, 98% chance they weren't insured and it ended up going into a "uninsured motorist" claim.

Car's in the body shop now. That rear quarter panel goes all the way around the top of the car and will have to be cut off at the top and somewhere in the back door well, and then patched back together. I'm confident in the guys doing the work- they are A+ but I hate to see that car get ripped apart...again. Should be 2 weeks before I get it back.

oh and I hate rentals. Hope your weekend went better!

It may be that the rear bumper will have to have some work done too.

I think the gas lid is ok- just needs some polish

Hopefully the taillight isn't warped up.

That likely won't be cut out. It'll probably be banged out and bondo'd

Sucks either way

That sucks. Sexy pinstripe though.

(Not really about the stripe)

Most likely that quarter panel will have to be sectioned. I'll be damned if any tech can repair that kind of damage

I think it's time you moved to a better part of town

Sucks man, but in the end, a car is replaceable. Glad nothing happened to you.

Get in touch with a dent repair specialists, they can probably access that area from the trunk and pop it right out ^^
