Is this normal wear and tear?

Ran over something on the freeway last week and cracked the bottom right corner of my front bumper which i cried for a moment Then first got quoted for $1300. Went to my insurance and they signed me a check for 2k because they said they had to replace a plastic cover undernieth the engine. The rep showed me the damage and did not look too bad but more like wear and tear. That part alone cost 1k and 6 hours of labor to fix. The rep was awesome. He was hesitant to add the 1k to the rest of the damage but I felt he did it as a "courtesy." I want to buy the aspec body kit but was wondering if its normal for it to have scratches like that. Car is a year old and leasing for another 2 more years. I want to pull the trigger but I want to hear your feedback since today is the last day to order that body kit.

I'd say pull the trigger. The kit should cover all that wear and tear and give it a nice new, sporty, cool look. 99% tint is that new see through tint.....

Get it fixed before it spreads, especially in the colder weather.

I just went to the stealership and they said they have to open it up to see if a piece of aluminum has shifted or something. Any ideas?

is there a way to fix a crack in the bumper (front or rear) without replacing the entire thing?

I think they can melt it back...not sure. It's plastic though, and it would cost a lot. They did my bumper no problem.
