Locked Out!

Like a dumb a$$ I locked my keys in the trunk. I called Acura TLC. A non-locksmith was sent who tried to use a metal rod to push the unlock button and trunk release. It didn't work.

Tomorrow TLC will send a locksmith. Has anyone else been locked out? Was the locksmith successful?

i know this was probably the first thing that came to mind, but try using a spare key or the valet key.

get a wallet key made, its great for when you get locked out and it won't start the car since it's unprogrammed for the immoblizer. Great when you are locked out. Make sure the locksmith that is working on the car knows his stuff, the only guy I use I make sure he's good, been a safe cracker and locksmith for over 10 years.

Ehh, don't feel bad. One morning when I got to work, I locked my keys in the car; while it was running.

Wife had to bring me the spare set.

(older car, not an Acura)

That really is a great idea, alls you need is just the very slim key and you will be set!

It happened to me at work one day just before XMas as my daily routine was changed...normally I place my key in my jacket pocket and take my duffle bag with me when I get to work...this day I placed the keys on top of the duffle bag while I was trying to get the home made food for the party...the keys fell out of the bag on the passenger seat...called AAA and they have this inflator they place between the door and door frame...when they inflate it they use this hook to open the door in less than 3 minutes...the rest is history...

I locked keys in my old van back when I was in college. Had to pay a wrecker $25 to open it up w/ a slimjim. It literally took him longer to run my credit card than to open the door on that old chevy. Even since that experience, I haven't locked my keys inside again.
