Noob question regarding TSB & warranty

I tried searching but couldn't find answers, so excuse me if its already been answered.

My 06 TL just recently passed its warranty threshold. I had the car fixed up as much as possible before the the warranty ended, but the rattles are starting to come up again. I found TSBs that address a few of these rattles, but are TSBs honored on a car that's passed it's warranty? I'm about 2 months over, but mileage is still under the adjusted 52500 or whatever (adjusted for odometer optimism). Not like that would make a difference

it's 4 years or 52,500, based on year of manufacture, and whichever comes first. I suspect, you will be ok. Call the dealer up..they will let you know for sure based on your VIN

I have an 05 TL with 51,500 and it is out of warranty..for sure.

The dealer/district manager etc can goodwill TSB's out of warranty. I'd get on it ASAP and ask them. I think most dealers have been pretty good about it when the car is only slightly out of warranty.

a TSB is not a warranty item- its simply a Technical Service Bulletin given to acura shops to speed diagnosis of strange problems someone has found and fixed

Noises are best fixed with the Garage section here and thread on the subject
You can stuff foam in certain places the dealer may not even know about!

Warranty items just past warranty are one thing, but tech info is not a recall or warranty type item

They are not obligated to fix TSB's. It depends on if they decide that they can replicate them or not while the car is in their hands.

as I said- tsb is a tech bulletin meant for the mechanics use- to fix odd problems
Its not a required fix as warranty would be- its just info

Thanks for the help guys. I was always under the impression that TSBs were like safety recalls and were covered regardless of warranty. Guess I'll be returning to the dealer again, hopefully they'll cover me.

I disagree. If your car is still under warranty and the TSB applies to your VIN and you can replicate the problem covered by the TSB, Acura should/will fix it. If your car is out of warranty, you should politely ask/pressure for goodwill consideration, especially if it's the dealer you bought the car from.

From all TSBs:
WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION
In warranty: The normal warranty applies.

Out of warranty: Any repair performed after warranty
expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by
the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone
Office. You must request consideration, and get a
decision, before starting work.

the diy section here will fix noise problems with tips the dealer doesnt know, or use stuff they dont have to fill a space

If this were a running issue I would be asking for goodwill, but its squeeks and the OP went in with several small items right before warranty expires, not the way to generate any goodwill your way

Taking donuts is a way to generate a lot of goodwill

I know the service adviser pretty well, he's really chill and is always willing to help me out with whatever. He's hook it up a few times and I've brought Christmas gifts and stuff to him as well. The thing is, I've brought my car into the dealer 2 times for essentially the same rattles. Each time, the rattles would go away for a month or two, then either new rattles spring up, or the old ones reoccur. If I can find DIY for every rattle, I'd prefer to avoid the down time of going into the dealer and bothering the service adviser again.
