Noob introduction....
Hello everyone, I'm not sure where this post belongs, so if it's in the wrong place feel free to move it. Anyway, my name is Chris and I'm from Bellefontaine Ohio. I have owned several Acuras and Hondas in the past but just bought my first TL last fall. I have a 2006 6-speed navi car in Redondo Red Pearl with Parchment interior. It is my wife's daily driver. So far we love the car.
I work for Honda at the automatic transmission plant in Russells Point. I've been there for 13 years. Our plant supplies transmissions to several frame plants including Marysville, where the TL is built. I am a warranty claim analyst. I determine the failure cause of warranty units. Due to confidentiality, I cannot not discuss failure issues, so please don't ask--sorry.
I have lurked on this site for a while and it is very nice which is the reason I decided to sign up. I plan on performing some mods to the audio, suspension and wheels and tires. Nothing radical. Just enough to set it apart from the of TL's in the area, of which there are many (I believe it's due to the high population of Honda workers in our area).
Anyway, just checking in and I look forward to enjoying your site!!

Welcome Aboard !!
I only drive manuals, but as I'm sure you know there are lots of folks discussing acura transmission issues. Maybe having you aboard will be a win - win.

Welcome!
RRP is one hot color. Do you or your wife have any plans or it? You can't go wrong with tint to start things off.
So can I call you when I need Acura to replace my tranny?

Thanks everyone! I'll try to get some pics up soon. So for as far as plans go, I have a new set of Stern ST-1's 19X8.5. I wanted 35mm offset, but I got a great deal on some with a 45mm offset. Now I have a clearance problem with the Brembos. I need to figure out what the best spacer will be to correct this problem. I have the wheels, TPMS sensors and tires. Just need to mount the tires and get some spacers. After the wheels I plan on putting on some springs, but I want to see the car with the wheels bofore deciding on the drop. I bought a new kenwood amp and some JL 10 inch subs that I plan on adding to the factory stereo, after I build an enclosure. I've been waiting on the weather to warm up for that. We'll have to see from there, like I said its a daily so nothing spectacular.
I will be happy to offer transmission advise when I can, just not for warranty issues as that could get me into trouble. Thanks again for the welcome!!!
