Noob again, another question...

OK...I've read a lot of the tranny threads and did a search but didn't find a definition...What is a 3 x 3 for the tranny?

You drain 3 quarts of your transmission fluid and refill 3 new quarts of fluid.. 3 times.

Thanks Arthur, but...

So, when you drain the fluid will only 3 qts drain at a time? I am assuming, procedure is,

1. drain 3 qts
2. add 3 qts.
3. drive but for how long

repeat and then repeat again?

quick cliff note version.
-drain 3.
-replace all bolts
-add 3
-drive around for a little bit or cycle your car on jack stands
-then immediately or a week later
-drain 3
-replace all bolts
-add 3
-drive around for a little bit or cycle your car on jack stands
-then immediately or a week later
-drain 3
-replace all bolts
-add 3
-Complete

I'm not sure what ou are refering to when you say Service Department, I don't see a category there for that...
