I have only seen the NAV version, but would like to hear from a non NAV owner how the XM displays. Do you get the same information such as channel, format, etc, along with pre-set buttons even without the NAV.

The non-nav works fine for me. It tells you the XM category, station name, title of song, name of group/singer, etc... Let's you know if it's a DVD-A or DVD-DTS or CD playing, etc...

I have no regrets about how the non-navi looks.

no problem with the non navi here either. I t saved me $2000

 

one warning... it only displays one of the following on the screen at time... artist, station name, category, song title... it does not display all at once like the navi does (i think it does.. havent seen navi myself). you have to press the display button to change which its showing

not a big deal though... i got used to it if i wanna check the artists name i just press it 4 times since i leave it on the song title display.

also, when a new song comes on... it displays the song name, then it shows the artist, and then goes back to the display you have it on (i keep it on song title)

 

The navigation system is overrated. For $1000 maybe, not $2000 or even $3000 in some cases based on availability.

For XM on non-NAVI the name of the song and artist displays when the song first starts or when you 1st switch stations so you don't have to change the display mode

 

I would have paid what would have been an extra $3K to get Navi...but there weren't any to be had, especially in the NBP/Parch combo I wanted. The first would have been white and was 2 weeks off...long waiting list...no deposits...first come first served...

So I have NN.

 

$2k is with Navi features and bigger LCD screen.

If this is too much for these devices/features, don't spend it. You still get the hell of good car.


IMHO, I think this Navi/LCD makes me more satisfied with 04TL. Otherwise, I will buy other cars instead of 04TL.

 

1st. On Navi. What about the DVD-A controls. Any diff of Navi vs non-Navi? Also, on XM, is the only diff the station/artist info or does it also help in "navigating" XM's stations (ie, search, scan, etc)


2nd. I'm looking at the same set up. Any afterthoughts on color? Also, what interior did you pick and why?
