I think this happened when I was getting my haircut. In a mall parking lot, I parked my front in, the hair salon was about 9-10 parking spaces away. Went in, came back out, do my usual walking around and admiring the car, then I realized these white streaks that hurt my eye and my car. Looked closely, and realized my car got hit! I'm so mad right now, what's with people's driving and their sense of responsibility now days?

"the walk around" haha..i park my car in the corner of the parking garage where there are no cars and i still do the walk around to make sure nothing has happened to it and like u said just admire the beauty of the S..

 

Ya, I always do 'The walk around' after parking the car or coming back to the car.
That's how much I love my car.

I also looked around for a car with NBP paint on their bumper, but no luck finding that!

only problem is..

she hit 4 cars..her insurance covers only $5000 for the entire incident..so they may not even cover my car all the way

I have a much larger theory about the causes of this, but I think that higher population areas cause people to be irresponsible. In a smaller town, where everyone knows everyone else, if someone hit your car, they'd fess up, repay you, apologize, blah blah blah. In bigger towns, people know the chances of getting caught are nil, so they act stupidly and run off scott free.

It really upsets me when this happens. I'm sorry for both your cars. If someone hit my TL, I'd be very upset.

 

I really hate people that can not drive...nor park. Especially if you give them so much room to park. They still hit you or park close as f*ck.

 

Does the haircut place building have a camera located anywhere?

well think of it this way...now you can get the Under Spoiler kit...which will cover 99% of the scratches...and some touch up paint...for that little one which is right above the bodyline....

Looks like someone cut a little to much pulling out of a parking space?, I have similiar marks in the same spot on my NBP MDX, however they seem to be from a shoping car "hit and run".

The worst part about it is it looks like the rear quarter pannel is scuffed also. Any plan of action?

I have learned it dosent matter where you park someone is always going to get you!

 

I am trying to make sense of the damage in my head... I am pretty sure they hit you twice. That would make me even more mad!!

 

Looks like they made the initial impact/ scrape when reversing out of the parking spot, and then when driving or pulling away it looks like they cliped the bumper the second time. Thats what I think maybe happend.?

But that's pretty dumb of the person if they didn't know they already hit me once, and without realizing, hits me again.

driver: "I hit him already, might as well not care and hit him again and run away!"

 

Thought about it, it's cheaper than fixing it. The Aspec just covers the scratches right up.
But then there is a dent on the rear fender, and the A-Spec doesn't go that high.

 

the aspec lip will definitely cover up alot of that. go through insurance ,get a check for $1200 or whatever. buy the aspec kit, use the $500 change to fix just the dented part and the little scratch above the aspec lip cut-off line

We've been tagged multiple times. The first time was when we returned to the car after dinner. It appeared somebody's SUV left a mark from the front door hinge to the back door. Fortunately the black scuff buffed out. There's a spot left where the paint is gouged between the front/back door. What kind of idiot does this and walks/drives away? I realize those dumb b*stards are so isolated in those huge trucks they probably don't even know when they run over something, but they HAD to have known they were too close and felt / saw my car move as they vandalized my car! Subsequently we've had the shopping cart ding left for us to admire.

I have to push those feelings of rage way down inside.

One little secret - I accidently scraped our rear bumper against our garage door. Nobody saw. I told the wife it was just another one of those thoughtless hit / run bastiches. Please don't tell her. I just have to move on realizing that it is one of those things out of my control - I can't expect the car to be flawless after four years. However, the SO insists we don't park in between any land yachts and or shopping cart areas.

Just saw this, sucks dude. What is more ignorant is the person that did that didnt even bother to put a note or anything on your window, or wait to see you come out to tell you what happended. that just gets under my skin and bothers me that people can be like that. anyways if it would be i'd want to get it fixed just not covered up but to each his own. hope everything gets fixed dude.

 

My 06 experienced a fairly light hit and run. Left the car at the airport and when I came home some inconsiderate boob had taken off the paint of my rear right corner with their auto. Of course they did not leave a note - just left like the non-driving a*s they were.

I had this happen about 10 years ago on my Honda Accord as well. Also a hit and run that time as well.

I feel your pain...actually my 06 TL still feels your pain.

 

i feel your pain....just the other day, my car was parked and some one hit me and i didn't even see it b/c it was in the parking lot...so lady was apparently waiting for me to tell me that some one hit my car...after getting all her info (once i called the cops) she said "i didn't feel any contact." what an idiot! she scratched my car pretty bad (not quite as bad as yours) and she still decided to park next to me in the parking lot. LOL! So its a pain...i'll upload pics to show you tomorrow...

 

well it looks like something my dad did to my GF car, all we did was buy some compound and wet sanded it down to get the other cars paint off and used some touch up with polish after and it was good as new, try it out, if not HIT THAT A-SPEC UP!!!
