The Next TL

I'll have my TL-s Paid off in 2 years. Was wondering when the next model can be expected. The 2nd gen ran from 99-03, so I'm wondering if they're on a 5-year plan. Maybe 2009 for the next one. I think if I get another TL, I would skip this generation and wait for the next. Money can be saved in the meantime with no car payment.

Certainly a good plan. My first acura was the 1990 Acura Legend Cpe LS, kept it for 14 year 225K miles. Loved it through out. My New TL will (04) is like night and day comparison to the legend with advanced technology. I am sure your car will be a joy for a while.

Acura Cars are made to last.

yeah just wait till 08 or 09 at the latest. I had a 03 Tl-s and now have a 05 and to be honest, I sometimes miss my 03. Sure the 05 has a lot of upgrades but the 03's are nice too. Just wait and get the next gen which will really be a big upgrade from your car, not just a smaller step up.

Remember the issues many here had on the 04's though...and EVERY OTHER new model. So that means if the new TL comes out in 09, you'll really want the 2010 model.

The 2010 model is only 4 years from now so that should work. I'll have the car paid off and no car payment for 2 years, plus could still get decent money for my car. I'd like to see them make it so sporty that it would scare those old ladies who drive them away.

Wonderboy, this is very good and financially responsible thinking. Make that plan, write it down and stick to it. Nobody needs to upgrade every generation and you already have a very nice ride. Something to look forward to!

You have a very financially responsible plan. As another poster said above, you've already got a nice car.

That is a great idea, I wish I had the will power and self-control to do something like that.

Well, I'm going to try to skip a generation as well especially because I've already put so much into getting this one just the way I like it. Then of course I follow the "launch +1 year" rule so that puts my next ride in 2015! LOL Or maybe I'll just go get that Lexus IS350 next year!
