newest version of Navi disc not reading on my screen.

I just bought my 2005 TL a week ago at an acura dealership but didn't come with a navi disc because they couldnt find it. i had the salesperson order the most recent navi disc and it came in today but when i inserted the disc i got a message that said check disc. I called acura and they said it might be the disc but i think it might be the rom. anyone here tried inserting the disc in the trunk and hear a noise that sounded like a grind with the cd? i heard this noise of something grinding when i inserted the disc and not sure if it's the disc or the rom. any help would be greatly appreciated. Im taking the car to the dealership tomorrow so it should be fixed but wondering if the rom is supposed to make a noise like that. Thanks!

What version is it? Is it a 3.xx, or a 4.xx? Is the disc orange or white? You need an orange disc. No other color will work. Also, it'll have to be a 3.xx disc. No others will work.

i think its a 3.5 not sure because it's in the car and its an orage disc.

Seriously though, just go back to the stealership and have them look at it. I see no reason not to, since you just bought it from them.

i went to the dealership and they told me it was a bad hardware on the disc reader. They swapped one from another. I also have 2 bent rims from the previous owner which they will replace with new ones. so far i've been very pleased with my dealer and hope that doesn't change. Thanks guys for your help!
